Constitutional objectives

The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: The advancement of health by providing and operating community facilities which will contribute to and promote the personal development, health & well-being and life chances of families within areas of deprivation. To provide or assist in the provision of recreational services and activities to assist families to develop and enhance practical skills which will increase their general abilities and life chances, such as employment and training and to become active members of their local community and to assist in the development of local communities. To focus attention of the community at large on social issues with a view to creating a sense of individual and community responsibility and participation in the remedying of these problems. To encourage the co-operation and partnership of voluntary groups, statutory authorities, private enterprise and individuals in the relief of those in need by reason of ill health, financial hardship and other disadvantages resulting from addiction issues. Unity Connections (SCIO) will primarily support adults aged 18+ affected by mental health and addictions across Ayrshire and, as required, Scotland.
