Constitutional objectives

The Organisation's charitable purposes are: (i) the advancement of the arts and culture in Scotland by: a. the promotion, organisation, provision, management and production of concerts and recitals of all kinds of music including, without prejudice to the foregoing generality, jazz, in or at suitable halls, theatres or other premises or venues. and b. the promotion, maintainence, improvement, advancement and encouragement of the appreciation of jazz, particularly (but without limitation) by the organisation, provision and management of concerts and recitals as aforesaid and also films, video and audio recordings, radio broadcasts, television performances, lectures, exhibitions and literary, musical and artistic entertainments as are conducive to the promotion, maintenance and advancement of jazz and all associated forms of musical and artistic entertainment, presentation and education. (ii) to promote the advancement of education through the provision of affordable music lessons, workshops and / or masterclasses. (iii) to promote, establish, collaborate with and / or support (whether financially or otherwise) other organisations, activities and / or events which further any of the foregoing objects.
