02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Spotty Zebras scio is set up to support children with additional support needs and their families across Ayrshire. Our group was set up with a primary purpose to relieve isolation, promote social inclusion, and encourage heathy social interaction for the whole family. We do this by providing accessible play events and activities all year round with even more events during the school holidays. we also do dedicated parent/carers sessions and hold young carer residentials to give all parent/carers and young carers some support and respite.

The organisation’s purpose is the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage and in furtherance of this, it will: (a) help support the needs of children with additional support needs and their families (b) To encourage social interaction and activities for the whole family (c) Share information and advice (d) Reduce isolation of all members
