02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Grangemouth Community Sports Trust runs Grangemouth Stadium, the only dedicated athletics facility in the Falkirk Council area. We took over management of the stadium from Falkirk Council in 2025 under a licence and are working towards a Community Asset Transfer. We provide track and field facilities for local clubs, schools and individual users, with Falkirk Victoria Harriers and Forth Valley Flyers as anchor clubs. We host regional, national and disability athletics events for Scottish Athletics, Scottish Schools, Scottish Disability Sport and other governing bodies. We run community sessions, including the Run/Jump/Throw programme with Scottish Athletics, and let space for gym-based fitness. Our aim is to increase participation in sport and improve health and wellbeing in Grangemouth, while making the stadium financially sustainable for the long term.
