Constitutional objectives
2. Objects 2.1 The objects of the Charity are for the benefit of the public to: 2.1.1provide relief to those suffering from Myalgic Encephalomyelitis ('ME') (also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome ('CFS')) and other complex, chronic post infectious illnesses, in particular but not exclusively by: (a) raising awareness and public understanding of ME and other complex, chronic illnesses (including post infectious illnesses) (b) providing information, advice and support. and (c) advancing research into ME and other complex, chronic illnesses (including post infectious illnesses), provided that the useful results of any such research are disseminated to the general public. 2.2 Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the Charity for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
