Constitutional objectives
The Organisation has been formed with the following Purposes to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development (where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs): 4.1 To enable elderly people in our rural community, particularly those experiencing loneliness, isolation, dementia and depression, to have a better quality of life. General wellbeing is promoted through reminiscence, social activities and sensory and visual stimulation - based, but not solely, on Shinty. 4.2 To contribute to the preservation of shinty's heritage, culture and history through artefacts, memorabilia, photographs and other material which can be used to assist with the purposes of the organisation. 4.3 To be recognised as a 'compassionate community' and maintain this status through its activities.
