Constitutional objectives
5.1 The SCIO will promote, advance and further charitable purposes by operating as a grant giving charity which will support financially and otherwise individuals, charities, community groups and others which, predominately but not exclusively, further the purposes detailed at clause 5.2 below. 5.2 For the purposes of the 2005 Act the following charitable purposes are particularly relevant and for the purposes of the 2005 Act are the charitable purposes identified as applicable from section 7 of the 2005 Act:- 5.2.1 the prevention or relief of poverty. 5.2.2 the advancement of education. 5.2.3 the advancement of health. 5.2.4 the saving of lives. and 5.2.5 the advancement of public participation in sport.
