Constitutional objectives

Purposes The Company's main Purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Company's Purposes are: To advance the arts, heritage and culture within the Community. To advance education. To provide recreational facilities, and organise recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and the public at large with the object of improving their conditions of life. To advance community development, including urban regeneration, within the Community. To advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other importance to the Community,in particular (but not exclusively), through the operation of a multi-purpose, community venue which shall be used to: (a) promote knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the art of the moving image in its artistic and cultural aspects. (b) provide access to recreational activities. (c) encourage the creative participation by the Community in the arts and crafts of cinema, video and other forms of moving images, including for example by providing access to facilities and training/workshops in film editing, film and video projection, sound recording and all other film and video-related arts and skills. (d) offer training, tuition, expertise and assistance to people in the Community and beyond, wishing to enter the film, television and associated industries through partnerships with local education providers. (e) preserve a building of historic, social and architectural importance in the Community.
