Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s purposes are: The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage (including relief given by the provision of accommodation or care) for patients or former patients of Portree Hospital by:- (a) In general, supporting the charitable work of Portree Hospital in its role of meeting the non-specialist medical needs of the population of North Skye and Raasay. (b) encouraging and maintaining the public interest in the role of Portree Hospital, and fostering cooperation with NHS Highland and other relevant local healthcare charities. (c) supplementing the provision of amenities in Portree Hospital and its environs, in order to enhance the quality of inpatient care and to promote the educational experience of the staff. (d) raising funds by way of subscription or donation or otherwise to enable the provision of such amenities. and (e) recruiting and assisting in the recruitment of voluntary workers for appropriate duties within Portree Hospital
