Constitutional objectives
The association's purposes are: (a) The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture, or science by making independent cinema accessible to the local residents of Glasgow’s southside. (b) Expanding film choice by showcasing cinema outside of the UK and US mainstream box office catalogue. Showcasing local archives catalogue of moving images to engage with screen heritage. (c) Supporting young filmmakers by creating a platform for amateur, emerging film directors and moving image artists to showcase their work. (d) Making the cinema a place for discussion through working with local organisations and offering Q&A’s, discussions and talks in addition to the screenings.
