02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Every Kind of Mind supports children and young people with additional support needs (ASN) and their families across Scotland. We provide opportunities for children to access safe, inclusive activities and events where they can participate without barriers and alongside families who understand their experiences. We achieve this through stay and play sessions, exclusive venue hires, family activities, parent and carer wellbeing events, peer support opportunities and online community groups. We also work to reduce financial barriers by providing subsidised and free opportunities through grant funding and fundraising. Our activities help reduce isolation, improve wellbeing, build confidence and create meaningful connections for ASN children, young people and their families
