Constitutional objectives
a. To preserve and perpetuate for all time coming Selkirk Common Riding and all ceremonial aspects thereof in its historic and traditional form. b. To maintain and uphold the spirit and ethos of the former Selkirk Common Riding Trust as set out in The Inter Vivos Trust Deed by The Provost, Magistrates and Councillors of the Royal Burgh of Selkirk dated Eleventh November Nineteen hundred and seventy four and recorded in the Books of Council and Session on Twentieth November Nineteen hundred and seventy four as amended at a meeting of the Selkirk Common Riding Trust held on Monday Tenth January Nineteen hundred and ninety four.
