Constitutional objectives
To improve the lives of people and families in Scotland who have been affected by exposure to Sodium Valproate or other teratogenic medicines. The organisations will do this by: a/ Campaigning for the implementation of the Cumberlege Report recommendations by the Scottish and UK Governments. b/ Influencing policy to ensure best practices for people and families who have been affected by exposure to Sodium Valproate or other teratogenic medicines. c/ Campaign for improvements to the provision of Health, Social care and Education services for people and families who have been affected by exposure to Sodium Valproate or other teratogenic medicines. d/ Increasing public knowledge and awareness of the effects of Sodium Valproate or other teratogenic medicines. e/ Promoting the health and welfare of people with Sodium Valproate or other teratogenic medicines. f/ Providing support, education, training, and advice to people and families who have been affected by exposure to Sodium Valproate or other teratogenic medicines. g/ Commissioning and supporting research into the effects of exposure to Sodium Valproate or other teratogenic medicines h/ Representing and advocating for people and families affected by Sodium Valproate or other teratogenic medicines. i/ Working with other groups and organisations where this will progress our charity objects. j/ Carrying out any activities which will improve the lives of people and families who have been affected by exposure to Sodium Valproate and other teratogenic medicines. k/ Distribute financial and non-financial support to People and families who have been affected by exposure to Sodium Valproate and other teratogenic medicines.
