Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s purposes are: a) To advance the prevention and relief of poverty by providing good quality clothing, shoes, books, toys, and essential household items, free or at low cost to children and families in poverty or facing financial hardship, in Whitburn and surrounding areas within West Lothian. i. Schools, NHS, Local charities and Social Care Services log confidential referrals for families in crisis via a referral system to provide clothes or essential household items free of charge, enhancing health and good mental health. ii. The organisation will signpost families to appropriate agencies for information, advice and support on matters of social wellbeing and relief for people and families in need. b) The advancement of citizenship, by promoting the volunteering and the value and benefits that volunteering can bring, both for the volunteer and those who benefit from their activities within the local communities.
