02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The church exists to advance the Christian faith, primarily in Baillieston and neighbouring areas of Glasgow, in accordance with its Basis of Faith and governing documents. It does this by holding regular public worship services, including prayer, preaching and teaching of the Bible, and by providing pastoral care, spiritual guidance and opportunities for Christian fellowship. The church also promotes understanding of the Christian faith through teaching, discipleship, and activities for children, young people and adults. Outreach activities seek to share the Christian message and engage with the wider community. In addition, the church provides activities and support that benefit the local community, including community events and practical assistance where possible. The church also seeks to relieve poverty and respond to social need by supporting individuals and by working with or supporting other charitable organisations and community initiatives when able.
