Constitutional objectives
The objects of the CIO are For the public benefit in the relief of physical and mental illness and preservation of health for those affected by bowel cancers through providing information, peer support and advice, by: 1)To relieve sickness and to preserve the health of people for those diagnosed with colorectal cancer (including but not limited to cancers of the small intestine, colon, rectum and anus) and their families/carers in England by: 2) Representing people affected by colorectal cancer, and their families/carers through the provision of advocacy, support and practical advice and 3) The relief of need of those suffering from bereavement, in particular by the provision of support services. and 4) Raising awareness of colorectal cancer and related issues amongst the general public.
