Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s purposes are: Ayrshire Birds of Prey is dedicated to inspiring passion for the protection of owls and birds of prey throughout Scotland through community education, hands-on experiences, and nature recovery initiatives that engage and empowers diverse communities. 4.1 Ayrshire Birds of Prey will: (i) Advance education by delivering specialised interactive workshops on owl protection and conservation within schools and to community groups throughout Scotland. (ii) Advance education by providing the opportunity for the general public to handle and learn about different species of owls, habitats and conservation at community based events throughout Scotland (iii) Advance education by providing a range of volunteering opportunities that will raise awareness of owl welfare and protection for people living in the local community and throughout Scotland. (iv) Advance education by working with farmers and land owners throughout Scotland to engage in natural methods of pest control by encouraging native species of owl to take up residence. (v) Advance the environmental protection of native species of owls by bringing local communities together to engage in nature recovery initiates and to protect ecosystems such as building and installing nesting boxes. (i) Advance the environmental protection of owls, their local habitats and declining numbers with farmers and land owners throughout Scotland by reducing the use of pesticides in vermin control.
