Constitutional objectives
The organisation’s purposes are intended to provide public benefit in Scotland and elsewhere through the following: 4.1 The advancement of education by: 4.1.1 Teaching the sport of fencing to individuals recovering from breast cancer. 4.1.2 Educating fencing coaches and other individuals on how to teach a Solution Riposte class. 4.1.3 Educating the public about the beneficial aspects of exercise after a cancer diagnosis. and 4.1.4 Increasing public awareness about breast cancer. 4.2 The advancement of sport for the benefit of the public by: 4.2.1 Increasing public awareness about the sport of fencing. 4.2.2 Promoting sport and exercise in groups that are currently underrepresented including (but not limited to) older adults and women. 4.2.3 Providing grants and such other financial support as the board shall determine at their discretion to enable the purchase, replacement, repair, and maintenance of fencing equipment and such other related items as may be required, including any associated operating expenses in order to set up and/or operate and provide Solution Riposte programs in fencing clubs. and 4.2.4 Performing research studies on the impact of Solution Riposte on Quality of Life, Depression, Lymphedema, Cancer Recurrence, Survival, and other health issues affecting individuals with cancer. Positive research data will reenforce existing data about the benefit of exercise and sport on individuals with cancer. Positive data will boost public awareness of the specific health benefits of the sport of fencing.
