02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Tarbolton Community Development Trust was set up to help make Tarbolton and the surrounding villages better places to live, work and play. We are a community-led organisation working to bring local people together, support new ideas, and deliver projects that benefit the area. This includes improving local facilities, supporting events, attracting funding, creating opportunities for volunteers, and helping communities have a stronger voice in decisions that affect them. The Trust was created because local people know their communities best. By working together, we can protect what matters, tackle local challenges, and build a more confident, connected and active future for Tarbolton and the surrounding villages.
