Constitutional objectives

2 The association's purposes are: (a) To promote public benefit, interest, education and recreation by providing alone or with others, free educational opportunities in the form of workshops, presentations and skills training in Bluegrass music. a musical and cultural art form with Scottish roots and heritage. (b) To carry out research into the Scottish roots, heritage and cultural origins of Bluegrass Music and to publish and disseminate information for public benefit, interest, education, and recreation, free of charge via the internet and other media outlets. (c) To organise and arrange for public benefit, interest, education and recreation, alone and with others, such public performances of Bluegrass Music at Guildtown Bluegrass Music Festival Perthshire and at other community festivals and other public events. And where appropriate to advance the aims and purposes of the association with free workshops. To organise and arrange free performances and demonstrations at educational and other establishments, as may be determined from time to time. (d) To do all things and carry out any activity to promote and develop Bluegrass Music for public benefit as a musical and cultural art form within Scotland, provided that all such things and activities are legal and restricted to the charitable purposes of The Association.
