02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Elphinstone Research Group is set up to give students practical education and experience in finance, economics, investment research and related areas of business. We aim to make this kind of opportunity more accessible, especially for students who may not already have professional networks or experience in the sector. We do this by running student research teams, publishing articles and research, providing training materials, organising talks and events, and creating opportunities for students to work on real-world style projects. Our work is led by volunteers and students, with more experienced members helping newer members develop their research, writing, commercial awareness and professional skills.
