Constitutional objectives

The association's purposes are the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended by: 1. Creating a “safe space” where members who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Additional Support needs and their siblings/families can socialise with peers and have the opportunity to explore new situations and social activities in a person centred, inclusive environment without the social barriers and environmental factors which may hinder members in a typical club or social setting. 2. Promoting and encouraging socialising through active and sensory play. 3. Creating a support network for families whereby they can share experiences/strategies/knowledge with each other and interact with peers in similar situations. 4. Aiding in easing the feelings of isolation which are often encountered by these families and young people. 5. Liaising and working with organisations or individuals who could provide support/advice/training/experiences for the families who access the group in a setting which is familiar, comfortable and accessible to them.
