3.1 The Charitable Purposes of the SCIO ('the Charitable Purposes') are: 3.1.1 To provide relief to those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage through the provision of training, advice, and support aimed at enabling access to employment or self-employment opportunities. 3.1.2 To advance urban and rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation through the promotion of training, employment opportunities, community development, and support to organisations working for public benefit. and 3.1.3 To prevent poverty throughout Perth and Kinross.
