Constitutional objectives

4 The organisation’s purposes are: - The charitable purpose of The Black Scot is: (a) the advancement of education and the promotion of equality and diversity within the digital technology, cybersecurity and social sectors through initiatives and the provision of formal and informal training to public, private and voluntary sectors, as well as community groups, and educational bodies such as school and further education colleges. (b) To teach people how to stay safe and avoid dangers online. c)To bridge the gaps between authorities and Black and minority communities in Scotland, fostering active citizenship and strengthening community development. (d) to provide educational opportunities, promote inclusivity, and contribute to a fairer, more inclusive society through innovative digital and tech programmes. (e) the relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life for those socially and economically disadvantaged through digital, technology, cybersecurity and social initiatives. (f)To reduce poverty, and enhance the quality of life for Black and minority communities in Scotland by promoting active citizenship and community empowerment. This will be delivered through targeted initiatives in digital inclusion, technology, cybersecurity, and addressing key social issues, while also advancing other charitable purposes as identified by the trustees. Those it will benefit Underrepresented communities, Black, BAME, communities across Scotland, particularly those who face social and economic disadvantages.
