The organisation's purposes are to serve the community of North West Dumfries and the surrounding areas by advancing citizenship and community development, education, health, and environmental protection and improvement. We will achieve this by: Advancing community development by providing and maintaining a volunteer-led community garden, which acts as a sanctuary and hub for social interaction, fostering a sense of community ownership and pride through collaborative projects, celebrations, and recreational activities. Advancing education by providing opportunities for individuals to learn and develop skills in sustainable gardening, horticulture, composting, seed saving, food preservation, woodwork, and traditional crafts through hands-on volunteer work and structured workshops. Advancing environmental protection and improvement by protecting and promoting green spaces, implementing sustainable practices such as water conservation and composting, and engaging the community in environmental initiatives including tree planting, recycling, and litter picking to raise environmental awareness. Improving the conditions of life by providing a recreational facility and organising recreational activities, including gardening, arts and crafts, festivals, and community events, to improve the physical and mental well-being of residents.
