Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are: The objectives for which the organisation is established are to relieve the suffering, hardship, and distress, and advance the education of persons who have become refugees or asylum seekers from Africans and whose country of refuge is Scotland, with a particular emphasis on providing assistance and support to individuals and families residing in various regions of Scotland. In furtherance thereof, but not otherwise, the association shall seek: (l) to assist and coordinate the work of providing information to voluntary organizations and statutory authorities engaged in the relocation and provision of education, health, housing, social, and other services to refugees and asylum seekers across different areas of Scotland. (ii) to advance the education of the public and make representations on behalf of such refugees on issues affecting them, ensuring that the voices and concerns of refugees and asylum seekers from Africa are heard and addressed at all levels of governance and decision-making within the Scottish community. (iii) to support young people in sports activities as a means of protecting them from engaging in anti-social behaviour, drug addiction, and to promote their physical and mental health and well-being. This includes providing access to sports facilities, training programs, and mentorship opportunities to empower young people and foster a positive and healthy lifestyle.
