Constitutional objectives
4 The company has been formed to benefit principally the community of Stromness which comprises the parish of Stromness excluding Flotta and Hoy (“the Community”) with the following objects: (1) The advancement of community development (including the advancement of rural regeneration) principally within the Community. (2) to provide in the interests of social welfare, facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupation available to the public at large in Stromness with a view to improving their conditions of life, (3) to protect and/or preserve the environment for the benefit of the community and the general public, (4) to promote, establish, operate, and/or support other schemes and projects of a charitable nature for the benefit of the community of Stromness. But only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
