(a) To advance education by collecting, preserving, interpreting, and exhibiting kilts, tartans, and related Scottish heritage artefacts for the public benefit. (b) To advance heritage and culture by creating a permanent and accessible museum celebrating the history and evolution of Highland dress and Scottish identity. (c) To advance the arts through temporary exhibitions, workshops, and artist commissions related to textile craft, tailoring, and contemporary reinterpretations of the kilt. (d) To advance community development and inclusion by providing cultural and educational spaces for public engagement, volunteerism, intergenerational activities, and inclusive storytelling from diverse Scottish communities and diaspora. (e) To advance citizenship by supporting public learning, fostering national pride, and enhancing cultural literacy through participatory programming and outreach. (f) To advance public health and wellbeing by providing educational and therapeutic programmes – including movement and physical activity workshops – which promote mental health, discipline, and cross-cultural understanding.
