Constitutional objectives
The SCIO shall hold the SCIO's Assets for Charitable Purposes exclusively. declaring without prejudice to the foregoing generality that the Charity Trustees may apply the SCIO's Assets exclusively for any or all of the following Charitable Purposes namely:- 5.1 For the purposes of benefitting the public and, in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of that purpose, through advancement of citizenship or community development and the advancement of environmental protection or improvement, particularly including the maintenance and advancement of facilities at The Murray Park, Alford, Aberdeenshire, as well as the provision of informal recreational facilities and informal recreational activities and opportunities within the said Park. or 5.2 For the purposes of advancing such similar Charitable Purposes as the Trustees may consider appropriate from time to time to further the objects in clause 5.1 above. 5.3 The SCIO has power to do anything which is calculated to further its purposes or is conducive or incidental to doing so all in compliance with the terms of the Act and the Charities (Regulation and Administration) (Scotland) Act 2023, or any statutory re-enactment thereof, insofar as they relate to the operation of a SCIO.
