Constitutional objectives

Charitable Purposes: The organisation's purposes, consistent with the charitable purpose of advancing public participation in sport, are: (a) To advance public participation in the sport of baseball in Scotland, by developing, promoting, and providing opportunities for players, coaches, and officials to reach their full potential. (b) To develop a national pathway for performance and participation, enabling talented players in Scotland to progress into Great Britain's national programme and create independent international baseball opportunities in Scotland. (c) To foster the growth of baseball as a means of promoting physical activity, teamwork, and community engagement across Scotland. (d) To support youth and adult baseball development through coaching, education, and competition. (e) To collaborate with the Scottish National Baseball League ('SNBL'), sportscotland, and other partners to strengthen the sporting infrastructure and ensure the sustainable growth of baseball in Scotland. Public Benefit: In carrying out its purposes, the SCIO will ensure that its activities provide public benefit by promoting participation, health, and personal development opportunities accessible to individuals across Scotland.
