Constitutional objectives

The Organisation has been formed for the public benefit of the Community of South Lanarkshire as defined by Council boundaries ('the Community'), with the Purposes listed in Clause 5 below('the Purposes'), to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development (where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs). Purposes The Organisations main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Organisations Purposes are: The advancement of public participation in sport, specifically by providing inclusive and accessible skating lessons and programs to people of all ages and abilities, particularly those with disabilities. The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, specifically the provision of skating coaching, lessons, and recreational skating sessions to the community of Lanarkshire. The promotion of equality and diversity, by ensuring that people with disabilities and those facing barriers to participation have equal access to sports and recreational activities through subsidised or free skating programs.
