Constitutional objectives
The aims and objective of AFCACOM shall be to benefit its members in the following ways: a. To promote the spirit of oneness, fairness, equality, diversity and to deepen the catholic faith amongst all members through continuous encouragement of unity, understanding, and cultivating the spirit of love, peace, loyalty to one another. b. For the advancement of religion through the promotion of the Roman Catholic teachings of faith and doctrine within the African populace, supporting the parish in her mission of evangelization to draw nearer or back into the catholic church members whom are lukewarm or lacking the ability to continue in the Catholic faith as a result of adversaries, ill health or disability, as well as to promote and advance the Catholic doctrine and improve the spiritual life amongst members children through the teachings of catechism c. To promote the prevention of relief of poverty, through the provision of practical support network to members within our community who are experiencing financial hardship. This may include but is not limited to the provision of emergency financial assistance, food support, to refer and signpost to local support services where necessary in the aspect of housing to prevent homelessness. To provide theoretical and practical/technical training and workshops geared at skills acquisition and capacity development. d. To further advance among its members the African cultures, arts, heritage and traditions by promoting cultural tourism, festivals and events, educating and raising awareness, as well as providing support for the creation of African traditional arts and crafts.
