Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are to promote the conservation and study of bats and their habitats in the council boundaries of Dumfries and Galloway through: a) education, encouraging an awareness of bat conservation issues. b) leading guided walks, c) attending public events, d) school visits. e) advising on bat conservation issues. f) Facilitating training of bat workers to enable Licencing as trained bat workers g) Direct practical work, h) monitoring and provision of bat roosting opportunities, i) Carrying out roost survey. j) Using audio equipment to survey wider countryside. k) Advising bat welfare issues. l) Caring for and rehabilitating sick and injured bats. m) Rescuing bats from dwellings, where they are causing distress.
