Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s purposes are: (a) The prevention or relief of poverty for immigrant community members that are at risk of destitution. We seek to do this through the provision of emergency food, clothing and hygiene packs. access to a community kitchen. support to access emergency support to cover travel expenses to appointments in relation to their status. support to translate letters and signposting beneficiaries to emergency accommodation providers, libraries, colleges and other centres which offer access to English for Speakers of Other Languages classes. (b) The promotion of equality and diversity through fostering opportunities for social connections between immigrant communities and wider society, for example, through the delivery of cultural exchange and community events. intercultural festivals and community dinners. (c) The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disability by empowering immigrant community members to improve their health literacy through the delivery of workshops and awareness raising sessions in a range of health related areas and through the delivery of afterschool homework activities for young people to support their integration and learning. We also seek to support immigrant community members to register with health services and, for those that are most vulnerable, accompany them to attend medical visits and provide translation support if required.
