Constitutional objectives

(a) The advancement of education Provision of funding to support learning opportunities for children and young people aged 0–18 years, through music, the arts, reading, and nature, as well as enrichment experiences that nurture creativity, confidence, communication, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. (b) The advancement of citizenship and community development Strengthening communities by providing funding to and connecting organisations, musicians, educators, artists, authors, and other practitioners to work with children and young people in the provision of access to music, the arts, reading and nature. improving access to enrichment opportunities. and reducing inequalities in provision to children and young people across Scotland. (c) The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science Promoting inclusive participation in music, the arts, literacy, storytelling, creative writing, performance, cultural engagement, and nature education, and supporting projects that encourage artistic and cultural expression among children and young people in an accessible and inclusive manner. (d) The advancement of health (including mental health) Improving the mental, emotional, and social wellbeing of children and young people by funding the provision of inclusive, accessible, and nurturing enrichment opportunities in music, the arts, literacy and nature, including support for children with additional needs. (e) the advancement of environmental protection or improvement Supporting the provision of nature-based learning and experiences that foster environmental awareness, responsibility, and connection with the natural world, through funding and other means.
