Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purpose is, for the benefit of the public in Scotland to advance built and sporting heritage by preserving the architecturally significant and historic John Carr Stand (the Stand) at Kelso Racecourse and to (1) provide public access to the Stand. (2) increase awareness of the architectural, historical and sporting importance of the Stand as an early and surviving example of a grandstand still in use. (3) educate the public in relation to the Stand and the works of John Carr of York particularly in a sporting context.
