Constitutional objectives

4. The Organisation has been formed with the following Purposes (the 'Purposes') to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development (where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs): 4.1 To advance citizenship and community development by providing a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for serving members or veterans of the Armed Forces and their families in the area, with the aim of reducing social isolation and loneliness, through promotion of camaraderie, mutual support and friendship. 4.2 To promote health and wellbeing among serving members or veterans and their families in the area by facilitating access to welfare support, advice and assistance through signposting to Armed Forces charities, statutory services and relevant community support organisations. 4.3 To relieve those serving members or veterans and their families in need by reason of age, disability, ill-health, financial hardship or social disadvantage, by offering peer support, mutual assistance and social activities.
