1 The organisation’s purposes are: To promote the saving of lives, the advancement of public participation in sport and the promotion of equality and diversity. 2 This will be achieved by The Welcome Tide being a community-based initiative providing water safety education and swimming lessons for people seeking asylum and refugees. The project aims to reduce drowning risk, increase confidence around water, and support health, wellbeing, and social inclusion through safe, structured access to swimming.
