Constitutional objectives

1 The SCIO will, in such manner as the Charity Trustees consider appropriate, promote, advance and further the charitable purposes, in particular: 1.1 To advance education by providing language, employability and cultural learning opportunities for the Nepalese and wider Glasgow community. 1.2 To advance citizenship and community development by creating volunteering opportunities, strengthening local organisations and delivering inclusive community programmes. 1.3 To promote racial and religious harmony and equality, and diversity by celebrating Nepalese culture and fostering intercultural understanding 1.4 To provide or assist in the provision of recreational facilities, activities and opportunities for individuals and communities, with the aim of improving health, wellbeing and social cohesion. 1.5 To relieve those in need by reason of financial hardship or other disadvantage through signposting, small-scale support and charitable fundraising in Scotland and Nepal.
