Constitutional objectives

The Organisation has been formed to benefit the community of the residents within the Innerleithen, Traquair and The Glen area comprising all of the postcode units in postcode area EH44 (the “Community”), with the following purposes (the “Purposes”): The advancement of Heritage: To acquire the building and gardens at St. Ronan's Wells, Innerleithen, Scottish Borders by Asset Transfer from Scottish Borders Council and to renovate and re-purpose the historic building. ensuring that it remains a site of cultural and historical importance for the benefit of the public. The advancement of education: To provide opportunities for learning about the history, traditions and cultural significance of St Ronan's Wells and Innerleithen through exhibitions, events and interpretive materials. The advancement of the arts, culture and recreation: To renovate and maintain the hall and associated spaces for use in arts cultural and recreational activities that enhance community wellbeing. The advancement of community development, community resilience, citizenship and volunteering: To encourage volunteering and community participation in the restoration, management and operation of the facilities, fostering skills development and social inclusion within the community. The advancement of environmental protection and improvement: To maintain and improve the surrounding gardens and natural environment of St Ronan's Wells for public enjoyment and biodiversity
