Purposes 4 The organisation's purposes are to promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of the public by encouraging and fostering the understanding, knowledge, appreciation and development of jazz and associated forms of music and culture, in particular in Aberdeen and the Northeast of Scotland, by any means the board deems fit, but including by: (a) organising and supporting concerts, competitions, events, recordings, publications and research involving or related to music. (b) providing facilities for the performance of music in public. (c) promoting the study, practice and development of music. (d) promoting and providing workshops. and (e) promoting opportunities for Scottish musicians to perform and develop.
