Constitutional objectives
Purposes The organisation has been formed to benefit the community of Shawfair (the 'Community'), which includes the Villages of Danderhall, Cairnie, Craighall Village, Harelaw, Millerhill, Newton, Todhills, Whitehills, with the following purposes (the 'Purposes'): (a) The advancement of the citizenship or community development through projects and activities aimed at improving the quality of life and ability to connect with residents within the community. (b) To provide, or assist in providing, recreation facilities, and/or organising recreational activities within the Community which will be available to members of the Community and the public in general with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. (c) To promote the advancement of the natural environment and greenspace within Shawfair. Through projects and activities which include preserving and promoting awareness of the local natural environment, promoting sustainability, protecting wildlife/habitats and managing greenspaces aiming to benefit the community
