Constitutional objectives

1. To bridge the cultural gap between Scottish communities and minority ethnic communities in Scotland in relation to child safeguarding practices, awareness, and education. 2. To promote the welfare, safety, and protection of children from all cultural backgrounds in Scotland, in accordance with the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 and all related legislation. 3. To educate, inform, and support individuals and families from minority communities in Scotland regarding child safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice applicable in Scotland. 4. To facilitate constructive dialogue, mutual understanding, and collaborative working between Scottish statutory agencies (including local authorities, Police Scotland, NHS Scotland, schools, and social services) and minority ethnic communities around child protection and safeguarding. 5. To provide culturally sensitive training, awareness programmes, resources, and support to families, community leaders, faith organisations, and other bodies working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds. 6. To advance awareness and understanding of diverse cultural perspectives on child-rearing and family life, while promoting shared responsibility for child welfare across all communities in Scotland. 7. To undertake any other activity consistent with the foregoing purposes that is recognised as charitable under the law of Scotland.
