Charitable Purposes The SCIO's charitable purposes are: 1. To help support children up to the age of 16, in Scotland diagnosed with cancer, during the complexities of cancer treatment while supporting their families. 2. To advance health and wellbeing by providing, emotional, practical and informational support to children up to the age of 16, undergoing cancer treatment and to their families. 3. To provide resources, support tools and information that complement medical care and improve the experience of children and families throughout their cancer journey.
