Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s purposes are: Prevention and Relief of Poverty – to support the home environment for children at school through improving the home environment, by providing a food and clothes bank, other living essentials for the home ( eg.,essential furniture), and providing advice to parents and guardians specifically where it involves the welfare of the children. The charity will be focussed on supporting children and their families in the areas of Wallacetown, Whitletts and Dalmilling, identified in the geographical areas of Ayr marked in RED in the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. The charity will support the Annual Senior (P7) Primary Schools Careers Fair organised by Ayr Rotary (an annual event strongly supported by South Ayrshire Education Department and local Head Teachers). A Grant will enable pupils (P7) from the schools serving the deprived areas listed above to attend and learn about potential careers, raising expectations and creating vision for their future working lives, leading them out of poverty and deprivation. The schools included in this initiative will be contacted, and pupils identified who are most likely to benefit from the Careers Fair.
