Constitutional objectives

For the public benefit, the advancement of environmental protection and improvement in West Lothian. The West Lothian Climate Action Network (WLCAN) supports community-led action to address the climate and nature emergency, working towards a sustainable, low-emission West Lothian. We aim to achieve this by: • Supporting the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to the impacts of climate change. • Protecting and enhancing local biodiversity and reducing our wider environmental impact. • Empowering individuals and community groups by providing the resources, education, and support necessary to take meaningful climate action.
