Constitutional objectives
9 Purposes 9.1 The Church will advance to charitable purposes by promoting the Christian faith primarily in Glasgow but with a view more widely to Scotland and beyond by all means consistent with the teachings of the Christian Bible including worship, ministry, mission, prayer, witness, education, community service and the support of agencies and individuals and other charitable organisations involved in Christian mission work and the relief of poverty or other social needs. 9.2 For the purposes of the 2005 Act the following charitable purpose is (i) particularly relevant and (ii) is the charitable purpose identified as applicable from section 7 of the 2005 Act:- 9.2.1 The advancement of religion. 9.3 For the purposes of the Taxes Acts the provisions set out in clauses 9.1 and 9.2 shall be read together to ensure the charitable purposes of the Church are compliant with the Taxes Acts.
