Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s purposes are: To prevent or relieve poverty and financial hardship in Scotland by supporting individuals and households, particularly those on low incomes, financially vulnerable or digitally excluded, to reduce essential household costs, access appropriate support and improve financial resilience. To relieve the needs of people in Scotland who are vulnerable, disadvantaged, digitally excluded or otherwise in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, caring responsibilities, financial hardship or social circumstances, through practical assistance, information, signposting and support. To advance education in Scotland by increasing financial capability, digital inclusion and informed decision-making in relation to household bills, essential services, consumer choices and available support.
