Constitutional objectives
The advancement of community development through the ownership, restoration, refurbishment, management and long-term stewardship of the local pier, harbour structures and associated moorings ensuring they remain safe, sustainable and accessible for community use. The advancement of heritage by preserving and enhancing the historic maritime character of the pier and harbour area, including the conservation of traditional features, interpretation of local maritime history, and protection of the harbour environment for future generations. The provision of recreational facilities and activities by maintaining and improving access to the water for boating, fishing, leisure, and other maritime pursuits, supporting safe and enjoyable use of the harbour by residents, visitors, and community groups. The advancement of environmental protection and improvement through the responsible management of the marine and coastal environment, including measures to protect wildlife, improve water quality, enhance shoreline resilience, and promote sustainable marine practices.
