Constitutional objectives
Supporting African Surgeon's primary purpose is to advance health by improving surgical education and healthcare capacity in African countries. There is significant deficit in healthcare delivery, and surgical training, in Africa. The organisation will have a multi-modal approach to improving healthcare and surgical education on the African continent with specific activities – a. Support educational events to train healthcare workers in Africa. b. Support healthcare workers travelling for training or educational purposes to, or from, Africa. c. Collect medical equipment for use in African healthcare institutions. d. Deliver medical equipment to African healthcare institutions. e. Develop strategic partnerships with educational institutions in Africa to improve capacity and training programmes f. Develop strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions in Africa to improve delivery of healthcare g. Raise funds to facilitate these activities.
